What has GPX meant to you?
I joined GPX three years ago. Coming from a mainly academic background with limited business experience, I initially faced a steep learning curve, but the supportive environment at GPX made it an enriching journey. My colleagues have been instrumental in sharing their expertise and encouraging my growth.
Through GPX, I’ve developed technical skills such as data analysis, research, and problem-solving, while also enhancing my adaptability and cultural awareness through global collaborations. One of the most significant aspects of my experience has been the flexibility and trust GPX has shown, particularly in supporting my move to Thailand. The company welcomed my proposal and made it possible for me to pursue personal aspirations without compromising my career.
How is life in GPX?
Life at GPX is fast-paced, rewarding and full of opportunities for growth and collaboration. As a Research Associate, I’m not tied to specific projects, which allows me to work on a variety of initiatives throughout the year. This diversity keeps my work engaging and provides endless opportunities to learn. I contribute by supporting project teams with data collection, analysis, and insights, which often requires quick adaptation to new topics and client needs.
Although I’m not directly involved in fieldwork, I enjoy being part of a global team. I’ve collaborated on projects involving multiple countries, which has broadened my understanding of different markets and cultures. Outside of work, GPX fosters a sense of community with activities like yoga, well-being programs, and team dinners. These events bring a perfect balance to the demanding pace of our projects and help build meaningful connections with colleagues.
Project that specifically stuck with you?
The project I enjoyed the most was a highly research-intensive initiative for a major CPG company. It spanned multiple countries across Latin America and Europe, which made it both challenging and incredibly enriching. My role involved handling daily requests for information, which required delving deep into market specifics, consumer behaviors, and industry trends.
What made this project special was the opportunity to learn about diverse markets and industries simultaneously. I also felt that my contributions were directly impactful, as the insights I provided played a crucial role in shaping the final project deliverables. This experience not only deepened my research expertise but also reinforced my sense of value within the team.

What has GPX meant to you?
GPX has shaped my career in a very positive way. As a boutique consulting firm, it combines the advantages of working for globally prominent clients with the intimacy and openness of a smaller organization. This duality has shaped my career as GPX has allowed me to develop multiple skills in a single project, accelerating my learning curve. I’ve gained experience in strategy, execution, and client engagement, alongside personal growth in adaptability and leadership. This holistic approach to consulting has enhanced my problem-solving, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity, preparing me for greater challenges.
How is life in GPX?
Life in GPX is very dynamic. Every project has its own complexity and particularity. One characteristic that I really enjoy from GPX is that it has project all over the world. In one project, you can be working for an Italian firm and in the next one you can be working for an Indian company. Each project is insightful, involving collaboration across all organizational level, from promoters to CEOs, while immersing in different cultures through fieldwork.
In addition, GPX supports work-life balance with healthy project assignments, flexibility to work from home or the office, and a focus on well-being.

One standout project during my time at GPX involved a client in India seeking to improve its route-to-market model. It was both professionally and personally enriching. I spent a month in India, where I travelled to 5 different cities to understand the business while getting to know and live its culture. It was a very immersive experience where I was able to engage with people from diverse contexts and regions providing valuable insights into the client’s challenges while exposing me to India’s rich traditions and customs.

What has GPX meant to you?
I joined GPX around 2 years ago, with the goal to change the way we collaborated with data scientists. Coming from a technical world I’d had exposure to business problems in my past roles, specifically when leading a start up or working in a big tech company. However, nothing matched the scale or complexity I’ve experienced at Globalpraxis.
In GPX I’ve had the chance to be directly involved in several strategy projects with Fortune 500 companies. This experience has been like a paid master for me, now I understand way better the nuances of how companies achieve sustainable growth. As a result, my business acumen has reached new heights, complementing my technical expertise and creating a well-rounded, balanced professional profile.

At Globalpraxis, no two days are the same. With an average project length of 12 to 16 weeks, and clients spanning sectors and regions across the globe, I find myself immersed in new challenges almost daily. My experience has brought me from Poland, working on a Logistics project to India where I contributed to a corporate strategy initiative. In both cases, I’ve had the chance to advise C-level executives on pivotal business transformations.
At Globalpraxis, we follow an outside in approach which means fully immersing ourselves in the client’s world, working, traveling and living with them and their cultures. Shadowing is also shadowing a key part of our work. By following and learning from frontline salespeople across geographies, I’ve had the chance to truly learn from several cultures and ways of doing business.

A particular project that stood out to me was the transformation of a vending machine business unit in Japan. We helped the #1 vending machine operator to completely change the way their operated, both in terms of logistic, assortment of machines and prospection (determining optimal locations for new machines). This deep dive gave us an insight into the vending business and was an passionate challenge from us. Our job, ultimately turned around the profitability of the unit, serving as the crown of this extensive project
Aside from work, staying in Tokyo for over four months was an incredible opportunity. Immersing myself in the fascinating Japanese culture and visiting, along with the team, several landmarks across the country, truly stuck with me.

After six months on a project, I was assigned to develop a unified "Picture of Success" (PICOS) for a multinational client’s outlets, to be adopted globally. The client lacked a system to standardize PICOS across geographies and track sales performance from HQ. We created a common framework across key pillars, balancing global consistency with local flexibility for business units to adapt to their markets. We also established monitoring and execution guidelines aligned with their realities and future needs. Delivering an easy-to-use manual consolidating findings, analyses, and strategic objectives was highly rewarding, knowing its significant global organizational impact.

What has GPX meant to you?
I joined GPX in 2008 from the industry, and in the first 3 years I learned more than in my previous 10 years working for multinational companies (P&G, Nestle, J&J) in sales and general management. I learned how to identify the root causes of complex business challenges, design solutions and lead the implementations. Beyond acquiring "technical" consulting skills, working in GPX helped me master the art of multitasking, as I handled various projects at a time. I have traveled to more than 25 new countries across four continents, having exposure to diverse cultures, mindsets, values, and approaches to work. Being a boutique consulting, there is visibility in GPX from the entry positions and high involvement of top senior partners´ level in projects. Therefore, there are higher chances of getting full-scale experience than in big consulting firms.
How is life in GPX?
When I joined GPX 15 years ago, my initial impression was I would not last long in consulting – so different & demanding it seemed. But I am still here. What has kept me at GPX is the satisfaction of all levels of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, especially those at the top – esteem & self-actualization. Throughout my career, I have worked with exceptionally intelligent and knowledgeable colleagues and clients, who inspire me to expand my horizons and deepen my expertise. The nature of our work involves spending time together on projects, allowing us to connect by sharing interests and personal experiences. While the job has its peaks with long working hours, it also offers opportunities for enjoyment: tourism, local nightlife, sports and other activities. Indeed, GPX is like a second family to me.

In GPX, we have projects across a broad range of industries (CPG, industrial, pharmaceutical, etc.), and business areas. In all of them, we have something new to explore new countries, industries, and clients. I particularly enjoy projects that pose intriguing business challenges and require us to develop creative, tailored solutions. One such project was in Japan, where we worked on vending machine operations for a client. We leveraged our legacy consulting RTM approach and Big Data / AI technology to enable the client to identify new profitable locations for vending machines and determine the optimal product assortment for each location. This project showcased the power of merging traditional consulting methods with cutting-edge technology to deliver innovative solutions.

What has GPX meant to you?
Globalpraxis has been an incredible professional and personal experience for me. In the last 9 years, I have had the opportunity to work in over 20 countries across various industries on diverse business issues. I have also worn many hats – from developing my analytical and critical thinking skills as a consultant to developing my leadership skills by managing teams and client relationships as a manager. The exposure to colleagues and clients from diverse backgrounds has also been very valuable. Even after 9 years, I feel like I am constantly learning new things and developing new skills.
I have also learned a lot about my own strengths and areas of growth. I have become more adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and my approach towards problem solving has completely changed. I believe by leveraging the combined strength of the team, a solution can always be found!
How is life in GPX?
Life in Globalpraxis is fast paced, dynamic and exciting. Every few months, I jump into a new and interesting client challenge. Given the global nature of our work, we have a hands-on approach that involves collecting primary data through market visits, interviews with management, and on-the-ground activities like riding with sales teams, visiting outlets and distributors, warehouse facilities etc. From riding with sales reps in Japan to interviewing grocery store owners in India or visiting wholesalers in Croatia, there is never a dull moment!
The collaborative and friendly environment is also something that I appreciate. We enjoy shared dinners, drinks, and team outings in Barcelona and immerse ourselves in local cultures during our travels. There is a great sense of camaraderie which makes working together fun!

One of the most interesting projects I worked on involved supporting the brand acceleration and brand introduction efforts for a vitamin producer across 13 countries in Asia, North and South America, and Europe.
Our team conducted a global consumer segmentation, mapping consumer need states and the shopper's path to purchase within the vitamins category. The study involved 30,000 online interviews worldwide, making it the first of its kind in this category. A key challenge was identifying consumer segments that could be applied globally to position and define the role of the brands while also mapping key purchase drivers and commercial levers by country to grow the brands locally.
We also had the opportunity to present the study to the client’s global leadership, and it was rewarding to see them use these insights to shape their brand strategy and expansion plans.
Being part of this project from the beginning and witnessing its direct impact on our client’s success has been very fulfilling.

Working at GlobalPraxis as a Data Scientist has been an amazing journey. What makes GPX stand out is the chance to work on the entire data science process, from collecting and cleaning data to building solutions and sharing results with clients. Being involved in every step has not only improved my technical skills but also made me much more confident in the work I deliver.
What I love most is seeing the impact of our solutions in the real world. Knowing that my work helps clients make smarter decisions and improve how they operate is incredibly rewarding. GPX has given me the chance to grow both professionally and personally, and I feel more adaptable and capable because of it.
How is life in GPX?
Life at GPX is all about finding a great balance. On the professional side, I get to take charge of everything data-related in our projects, whether it’s cleaning up messy datasets, diving into analytics, or building solutions that actually make a difference. This hands-on approach keeps things exciting and challenging.
But what I also appreciate is how much GPX cares about well-being. Having access to a coach has been a game-changer for me, it’s great knowing there’s someone there to help when I need advice. Plus, regular team dinners and drinks make it easy to connect with colleagues and build strong relationships.
Everyone here is super supportive and kind, which makes working together enjoyable. And the flexibility to work from home? That’s just the cherry on top, it’s helped me find a good balance between work and life.

One project I’ll never forget was for a well-known beverage company in the French market. The challenge? Figuring out which points of sale had the most potential using machine learning techniques like random forest, XGBoost, and decision trees.
What made it so interesting was how much I had to step up. The data wasn’t perfect, so I had to do a lot of feature engineering and find additional sources to make the models work. On top of that, explaining how these models worked and how to use the outputs was a whole other challenge, but it was so rewarding to see the client and my team really understand the value of our work.
In the end, we delivered a solution that made a real difference in how the client operated, and we even provided knowledge transfer so they could keep building on it themselves. It was one of those projects that reminded me why I love doing this tackling tough problems and seeing the impact firsthand.
